Rain Couldn’t Dampen the Fun at ICG’s International Mud Day Celebration!
The rain didn’t slow the muddy magic down at this year’s International Mud Day celebration. Stalwart mud enthusiasts and curious newcomers alike dipped their toes and the rest of themselves in the Hands-on-Nature Anarchy Zone’s newly fashioned mud pools.
The effervescent Rot n’ Roll’s compost-themed tunes bubbled through the event, livening even the dampest spirits. Under tents, community partners from The Home Depot, NYS Parks, Cornell Entomology, and Ziney Gardners offered explorations and hands-on activities of the less muddy variety.
Those who braved the elements made the most of it, and we had the best time welcoming the community to discover the Garden for the first time or once again.
Many thanks to Mud Day partners Tompkins County Tourism and Ithaca Agway, event sponsors Ithaca ReUse and Wegmans, and The Home Depot for their support.
