Community Grows: Plant Science Experiments
Did you know that plants can move? Discover more fun plant facts like this in our hands-on Plant Science/At-Home Gardening Experiment kit made in collaboration with the amazing team at the Frank Lab @ Cornell.
For weeks, ICG has been collaborating with the amazing team at Cornell’s Frank Lab to create these plant science kits, which each include a vegetable seedling (tomato, cucumber, or pepper), and two seeds along with supplies and lessons to conduct experiments and observations. Through ICG’s participation in ICSD’s Farm to Table program, kits were delivered by school bus to every child receiving school meals.
On Wednesday, May 13 and Wednesday, May 20 from 1-1:30 pm, Margaret Frank and Hannah Thomas will be joining ICG for our Ask Me Anything! live Zoom sessions to answer all the students – and your! – questions about plant science and the seed experiments.
