Philanthropy can start at any age! 

On May 22nd, Ithaca Children’s Garden was visited by Brownie Troop 61201. The Troop volunteered in the Garden planting gladiolus under the grape arbor with Facilities Manager Jean Gerow before presenting a generous donation of $150 to ICG, accepted by Executive Director Erin Marteal.

After working hard selling cookies the Troop decided to donate a portion of their earnings to a community resource they love. Erin shared with the girls what their gift makes possible in the Garden and the girls shared the reasons why they love ICG. The festivities ended with the Troop running off to enjoy some playtime in the Hands on Anarchy Zone!

It was a heartwarming experience that we at ICG are honored to share with our community.
