Scarecrow Jubilee: “The Best One Yet!”

The perfect fall day turned into the perfect Scarecrow Jubilee on October 14th. Hundreds of visitors from near and far flocked to the Garden to soak up the sun, build scarecrows, and celebrate the season!
LilySilly Puppet Theater mesmerized children with a lively performance on the Village Green, and the Six Mile Creek Boys kept the good times coming with live music all afternoon. The Kid’s Kitchen was transformed into a snack shack selling baked goods and apple cider to fuel the fun. Creative opportunities were aplenty with stations set up around the Garden for all kinds of fall crafts from felt bat creation to pumpkin carving.
Thanks to help from a fantastic collection of community volunteers and to Cayuga Landscape, the scarecrow assembly station remained active all day long despite a clothing shortage that resulted in some very creative scarecrow outfits!
Laughter filled the air as children frolicked in the straw, painted faces on their scarecrows, and rejoiced in this precious family time spent in nature.

A special thank you goes out to LilySilly Puppet Theater, the Six Mile Creek Boys, Cayuga Landscape, Home Depot, Community Arts Partnership, and everyone who came and participated in the festivities.
