Playwork is quite new to the US. The Ithaca Children's Garden has been operating our Hands-on-Nature Anarchy Zone since 2012, and we've been playworking ever since. Continuing development and training in playwork has been a critical component of our project's evolution. Creating a culture of play takes more than just providing a magical space, it takes training in how to approach and frame the play place, and those who play there.
If you're interested in learning more about the benefits of play, playwork, and how you can begin integrating more play into your own context, this course is for you.
Designed for groups of 5-30, we can host the training or bring the course to you. A professional development opportunity, this course will leave you inspired to re-ignite your own passion for fostering childhood play, and give you some tools to get started at your own place.
3 hours course, 5-15 participants, $50 per participant, 16-30 participants, $40 per participant
